Privacy policy
Packhouse Build keeps no database of its own. Everything it records lives in your own Wix site, in your own CMS, under your own Wix account — and when you uninstall the app, it stays there with you.
1. Who we are
Packhouse Build is made by Markland Hill, the trading name of A Stott, in the United Kingdom. Write to support@packhousebuild.co.uk about anything on this page.
2. Who is responsible for what
If you run a shop and you have installed Packhouse Build, you are the data controller for your customers' information. We are a processor, acting on your instructions through the app.
If you are a customer of a shop that uses Packhouse Build, the shop is who holds your order — not us. Ask them, and they can answer without coming to us at all, because the records are in their own site.
3. What the app records, and where
All of it in CMS collections on your Wix site, created by the app when you set it up:
- Your boxes and settings. The steps of each box, its sizes and prices, which of your products may go in, and how it looks. No personal data at all.
- Box recipes. What a box is made of, so selling one can move the stock of its contents. Your products, not your customers.
- Stock movements. A record of what came off the shelf when a box sold, against the order number. It holds the order number and the products, and no customer details.
Packhouse Build creates three collections and no more. It does not create a customer table, a bookings table or a mailing list, because it has no use for one.
Boxes begun and boxes bought
The app counts how many boxes were started and how many were bought, so it can show you an abandonment figure your orders cannot give you. These are counts, not records: a number goes up by one. Nothing identifies the person, and there is no way to go from the figure back to a visitor.
A half-built box
While somebody is building a box, it is kept in their own browser, in that browser's local storage, so they can come back to it. It is not sent to us and it is not stored on your site. It clears itself after a fortnight, and clearing browsing data removes it at once.
This is storage the visitor's own browser provides, used to remember something they were doing. It is not an analytics or advertising cookie, and Packhouse Build sets no cookie of any kind.
4. What we can see
In normal running, nothing. The app runs inside your Wix site and talks to Wix, not to us. We have no console onto your shop, no copy of your orders, and no way to read your CMS.
Two exceptions, both ordinary:
- Error logs. When something fails, the app logs what went wrong. A log can contain an order number or a product name. It does not contain a customer's name, address or payment details.
- What you send us. If you write to support or use the form on this site, we have your message and your address, and we use them to answer you.
5. What the app asks Wix for, and why
Every permission Packhouse Build requests exists for one visible feature. It is a deliberately short list, and worth reading beside what other apps of this kind ask for.
- Read your products. The things a box can be filled with, their photographs and their prices.
- Add a line to a basket. A built box is a custom line item, and a visitor is not allowed to write one — so the app writes it into the visitor's own basket on their behalf.
- Read your orders. What boxes earned, and which products people put in them.
- Change stock levels. Wix does not decrement anything for a box like this, so the app takes a box's contents off the shelf itself when one sells.
- Your own CMS. The three collections above.
It does not ask to write to your products, create or change categories, manage your orders, create draft orders, read your contacts, or run automations. If a future version needs something more, Wix will ask you to approve it before it can be used.
6. How long it is kept
Your boxes and settings stay until you change or delete them. Stock movements stay until you remove them. All of it is in your site, so you decide — and uninstalling Packhouse Build does not take them away.
The counts of boxes begun and bought are kept for two months and then roll off, because an abandonment figure from last spring tells nobody anything.
7. Requests from your customers
If one of your customers asks for their data, you can answer it yourself: what Packhouse Build holds about an order is in your own CMS and on the order itself, and you can read and delete it without us.
If you need help finding something, write to us and we will tell you where to look. We cannot fetch it for you, because we cannot see it.
8. Where data is held, and who else is involved
Your shop's data is held by Wix, under your own Wix account, wherever Wix holds it. Their privacy terms govern that, not ours.
For this website and for support, two others are involved:
- Google Cloud Run hosts this site and the form behind it.
- Resend delivers the email when you use that form.
That is the whole list. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network and no third-party script on any page of this site.
9. Security
The app runs on Wix's own platform, with the permissions you granted and no others. This site serves over HTTPS, loads nothing from anywhere else, and keeps no accounts and no passwords.
10. Children
Packhouse Build is a tool for businesses. It is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
11. This website
No cookies. No analytics. No trackers of any kind. The fonts are served from this site rather than from a font network, so visiting a page tells nobody but us that you were here.
The server keeps ordinary request logs — an address, a page, a time — for a short period, to keep the site up and to stop abuse of the form.
12. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it, and anything material is said on the app's listing as well.
